Skaitmeninės TV operatorius „Viasat Broadcasting" vasario 1 dieną Baltijos šalyse pradeda transliuoti dar vieną raiškiosios (HD) televizijos kanalą MTVNHD. Jis papildys išskirtinės vaizdo kokybės „Viasat“ kanalų paketą.

MTVNHD yra pirmasis tarptautinis raiškiosios televizijos (High Definition) kanalas, skirtas muzikos gerbėjams ir vaikams. Juo mėgautis galės skaitmeninės televizijos „Viasat“ klientai Lietuvoje, Latvijoje ir Estijoje.

Pirmąjį raiškiosios televizijos (HD TV) kanalą „National Geographic Channel HD“ Lietuvoje „Viasat“ pradėjo transliuoti praėjusiais metais. Šiais metais pridėjusi dar vieną raiškiosios TV kanalą skaitmeninės palydovinės televizijos kompanija žada ir toliau tobulinti turinį.

Tokio pobūdžio kanalų gausėjimas rodo vis augantį TV kokybės poreikį. Skandinavijoje šis veiksnys išryškėjo kiek anksčiau - MTVNHD Skandinavijoje „Viasat“ klientams transliuojamas nuo 2008 metų spalio.

MTVNHD – tai jungtinis muzikos ir animacijos kanalas, transliuojantis ryškiausius muzikinius kūrinius bei pramogines laidas vaikams. Be visiems puikiai žinomų muzikos kanalų – MTV ir VH1, MTVNHD transliuos ir animacijos kanalo „Nickelodeon“ programas. Taigi melomanus kanalas džiugins išskirtinėmis teisėmis įsigytų tokių atlikėjų kaip Prodigy ar Katy Perry koncertais. O savaitgaliais kanalas prie ekranų pakvies mažuosius žiūrovus stebėti jų mėgstamą animaciją („Kempiniukas plačiakelnis“, „Tak ir Juju Galia“).
